Interest in Skinny Bob took another turn in July 2026, when several new videos appeared online claiming to show footage connected with the original Skinny Bob material. The new releases reportedly include scenes of an alleged alien recovery and the interior of a spacecraft, and have attracted considerable discussion within the UFO community because of their apparent visual and stylistic similarities to the original footage.

The authenticity of these newer videos is currently disputed. Some researchers and enthusiasts believe they could represent previously unseen material, while others argue that they are CGI, AI-assisted creations or modern recreations inspired by the original films. At present, there is no independently verified evidence establishing either the original Skinny Bob footage or the newly released material as genuine extraterrestrial evidence.
